United States’ Independence Day celebration takes place each year on the 4th of July. On this day, the US celebrates its freedom from the British, back in 1776. Every year, on the 4th of July, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people descend upon Boston to share in the celebration of the USA’s freedom and its independence. Boston, a city with much historic dating back to the US revolution and before, likely has the biggest and best Independence Day party in the entire country. Boston hotels within walking distance of historical places, parade routes, and areas where special events are taking place are the most sought after ones. Here’s a suggestion: try to book a room in one of the Boston area hotels that are directly across the river in Cambridge, MA. The views of the Independence Day celebrations from there are the best, and can be spectacular.

Many of the events that take place over the six-day, Independence Day celebration, take place inside some of the more prestigious and/or historic hotels. Typically, there is live entertainment, with historic reenactments dating back to the time of the signing of the US constitution. Lectures and educational functions take place in the conference rooms of some of Boston’s premier hotels.

Looking for an elegant hotel in a splendid harbor location? Look no further than the Boston Harbor Hotel. This hotel is on the expensive side, compared to other Boston hotels, but we think its worth the price. The service is superb. The decor is equisite. The location is fantastic.

The common areas of the hotel have a very old world feel with dark wood, crystal chandeliers, and ornate furniture. The guest rooms maintain that old world feel while adding all of the modern ammenities you would expect in a quality, high-end hotel.

The location is at the waterfront. All of the rooms have either a harbor view or a skyline view. We recommend the harbor views rooms. Try to secure one of these rooms at this hotel, if possible. The service at the Boston Harbor is exceptional. The staff are courteous and efficient staff in all departments and at every level.

The hotel has conference facilities. With meeting rooms that are large and small, they can accommodate groups as large as 500 people.
